General Description of CD4 .
This antibody reacts specifically with CD4 cells. CD4 is a single chain transmembrane glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 59 kDa. The CD4 antigen is found on a T cell subset (helper/inducer) and also on thymocytes and monocytes.
