Cytoplasmic Aspartate Aminotransferase Previously Observed Antibody Staining Patterns

Observed Subcellular, Organelle Specific Staining Data:

Anti-GOT1 antibody staining is expected to be primarily localized to cytosol and nucleoplasm.

Observed Antibody Staining Data By Tissue Type:

Variations in Cytoplasmic Aspartate Aminotransferase antibody staining intensity in immunohistochemistry on tissue sections are present across different anatomical locations. An intense signal was observed in cells in molecular layer in cerebellum, hepatocytes in liver. More moderate antibody staining intensity was present in bile duct cells in liver, cells in granular layer in cerebellum, cells in seminiferous ducts in testis, cells in tubules in kidney, exocrine glandular cells in pancreas, glandular cells in adrenal gland and appendix and cervix, uterine and colon and duodenum and gallbladder and parathyroid gland and rectum and salivary gland and seminal vesicle and stomach and thyroid gland, islets of Langerhans in pancreas, Leydig cells in testis, myocytes in heart muscle and skeletal muscle, neuronal cells in caudate nucleus and cerebral cortex and hippocampus, neuropil in cerebral cortex, squamous epithelial cells in tonsil, urothelial cells in urinary bladder. Low, but measureable presence of Cytoplasmic Aspartate Aminotransferase could be seen in cells in red pulp in spleen, cells in white pulp in spleen, follicle cells in ovary, germinal center cells in tonsil, glandular cells in epididymis and small intestine, glial cells in caudate nucleus and cerebral cortex and hippocampus, non-germinal center cells in lymph node and tonsil, Purkinje cells in cerebellum, respiratory epithelial cells in bronchus. We were unable to detect Cytoplasmic Aspartate Aminotransferase in other tissues. Disease states, inflammation, and other physiological changes can have a substantial impact on antibody staining patterns. These measurements were all taken in tissues deemed normal or from patients without known disease.
