Summary:

40 kDa differentiation antigen; precursor protein’s amino portion is megakaryocytic potentiating factor. Cytoplasmic membrane glycoprotein found on surface of mesothelial cells, mesothelioma, ovarian carcinoma, pancreatic adenocarcinoma. May place a role in cellular adhesion. Positive staining – normal Mesothelial cells.
