Please run positive and negative controls simultaneously with all patient samples to account and control for errors in laboratory procedure. Summary:
Prohibitin regulates cellular proliferation. It may play a role in normal cell cycle regulation, replicative senescence, cellular immortalization and tumor suppression. Prohibitin staining is mainly localized to the inner mitochondrial membrane.
