Application Notes
Recommended Reconstitution Instructions: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized GMCSF in sterile 18MΩ.cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Bioactivity Data: The ED50 as determined by a cell proliferation assay using human TF-1 cells is less than 0.1ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 10,000,000 IU/mg.

Purity: Greater than 98.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE and RP-HPLC.
Endotoxin Levels: < 1.0 EU per ug protein as determined by the LAL method.
Buffer: GM-CSF was lyophilized from a concentrated (1 mg/ml) solution containing 1x PBS pH 7.4.
Storage Conditions: Lyophilized GMCSF although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution GMCSF should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
