Human IFN a 1b Bioactive Protein Product Attributes
Product Type: Bioactive Protein
Recombinant IFN a 1b based upon sequence from Human
Host: QP10673 protein expressed in E. Coli.
Available Tags: Untagged
Protein Construction: A cDNA sequence encoding the sequence of IFN a 1b was constructred and used to recombinantly synthesize the protein.
Recommended Applications: Bioactive
Application Notes
Recommended Reconstitution Instructions: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized IFN alpha 1b in sterile 18MΩ.cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Bioactivity Data: The specific activity as determined in a viral resistance assay using bovine kidney MDBK cells was found to be 1 x 108 IU/ mg.
Purity: Greater than 96.0% as determined by:(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin Levels: < 1.0 EU per ug protein as determined by the LAL method.
Buffer: Lyophilized from a 0.2µm filtered solution (50ug/ml) in PBS, pH 7.4, containing 4% mannitol and 1% HSA.
Storage Conditions: Lyophilized Interferon alpha 1b although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution IFN-alpha 1b should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

General Description of Recombinant Human IFN a 1b. | |
Human Interferon-alpha 1b produced in E. Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 166 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 19392 Dalton. The Interferon-alpha 1b gene was obtained from human leukocytes. The IFN-a 1b is purified by using an optimized multi-step FPLC method for maximum separation from contaminants. |
