Application Notes
Recommended Reconstitution Instructions: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized KGF 2 Rat Recombinant in sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Bioactivity Data: Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF receptors is <0.5ng/ml.

Purity: Greater than 97.0% as determined by:(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin Levels: < 1.0 EU per ug protein as determined by the LAL method.
Buffer: Lyophilized from a 0.2µm filtered concentrated solution in 1×PBS, pH 7.4 containing 5% trehalose.
Storage Conditions: Lyophilized KGF 2 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution KGF 2 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
