Recommended Reconstitution Instructions: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Oxytocin in sterile 18MΩ.cm H2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Bioactivity Data:
Specific Activity: 1 mg of Oxytocin has activity greater than 480IU/mg.
Amino Acid Sequence: Cys-Tyr-Ile-Gln-Asn-Cys-Pro-Leu-Gly-NH2
Purity: Greater than 99.0% as determined by RP-HPLC.
Endotoxin Levels: Not Determined. Testing recommended prior to use in cell culture and can be performed upon request.
Buffer: The Oxytocin was lyophilized from a concentrated (1 mg/ml) solution with no additives.
Storage Conditions: Lyophilized Oxytocin although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Neurophysin 1 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
