Definition of Unit (for specific activity): One unit phosphorylates 1μm of uridine within 1 min at pH 7.3.
Recommended Reconstitution Instructions: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized UPase in sterile 18MΩ.cm H2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Bioactivity Data: 30 U/mg protein.

Buffer: The UPase was lyophilized from 1 mg/ml solution containing 25mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 0.15M NaCl.
Storage Conditions: Lyophilized UPase although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution UPase should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
