Application Notes
Recommended Reconstitution Instructions: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Pro-IGF2 in sterile PBS containing 0.1% endotoxin-free recombinant HSA.
Bioactivity Data: The specific activity was determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of MCF-7 cells (human breast cancer cell line) and is typically 2-8ng/ml.
Purity: Greater than 90% as obsereved by SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin Levels: < 1.0 EU per ug protein as determined by the LAL method.
Buffer: The Pro-IGF2 was lyophilized in 50mM Sodium Acetate pH 4.5 and 350mM NaCl.
Storage Conditions: Lyophilized Pro-IGF2 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Pro-IGF2 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
