CD20 / MS4A1 Previously Observed Antibody Staining Patterns
Observed Antibody Staining Data By Tissue Type:
Variations in CD20 / MS4A1 antibody staining intensity in immunohistochemistry on tissue sections are present across different anatomical locations. An intense signal was observed in lymphoid tissue in appendix, germinal center cells in the lymph node, cells in the white pulp in spleen, germinal center cells in the tonsil and non-germinal center cells in the tonsil. More moderate antibody staining intensity was present in lymphoid tissue in appendix, germinal center cells in the lymph node, cells in the white pulp in spleen, germinal center cells in the tonsil and non-germinal center cells in the tonsil. Low, but measureable presence of CD20 / MS4A1 could be seen infollicle cells in the ovary and keratinocytes in skin. We were unable to detect CD20 / MS4A1 in other tissues. Disease states, inflammation, and other physiological changes can have a substantial impact on antibody staining patterns. These measurements were all taken in tissues deemed normal or from patients without known disease.

General Description of CD20 / MS4A1. | |
The 2H7 antibody reacts with human CD20, expressed by pre-B cells, resting and activated B cells, follicular dendritic cells and a small subset of T cells, but not on plasma cells. CD20 is a 33-37 kDa transmembrane protein which is differentially phosphorylated in resting and active B cells. The CD20 molecule plays a role in regulating B-cell activation. The 2H7 antibody is reported to be cross-reactive with several non-human species including Baboon, Chimpanzee, Cynomolgus and Rhesus. Please choose the appropriate format for each application. |
