Human Anti-Cytokeratin, Acidic Antibody Product Attributes
Cytokeratin, Acidic Previously Observed Antibody Staining Patterns
Observed Subcellular, Organelle Specific Staining Data:
Anti-KRT77 antibody staining is expected to be primarily localized to the nuclear membrane and plasma membrane.
Observed Antibody Staining Data By Tissue Type:
Variations in Cytokeratin, Acidic antibody staining intensity in immunohistochemistry on tissue sections are present across different anatomical locations. An intense signal was observed in keratinocytes in skin and squamous epithelial cells in the oral mucosa. More moderate antibody staining intensity was present in keratinocytes in skin and squamous epithelial cells in the oral mucosa. Low, but measureable presence of Cytokeratin, Acidic could be seen inepidermal cells in the skin, Langerhans in skin, squamous epithelial cells in the cervix and uterine and esophagus. We were unable to detect Cytokeratin, Acidic in other tissues. Disease states, inflammation, and other physiological changes can have a substantial impact on antibody staining patterns. These measurements were all taken in tissues deemed normal or from patients without known disease.
Observed Antibody Staining Data By Tissue Disease Status:
Tissues from cancer patients, for instance, have their own distinct pattern of Cytokeratin, Acidic expression as measured by anti-Cytokeratin, Acidic antibody immunohistochemical staining. The average level of expression by tumor is summarized in the table below. The variability row represents patient to patient variability in IHC staining.

General Description of Cytokeratin, Acidic. | |
This MAb recognizes the 56.5kDa (CK10) ;50kDa (CK14) ;50kDa (CK15) ;48kDa (CK16) ;40kDa (CK19) keratins of the acidic (Type I or LMW) subfamily. Twenty human keratins are resolved with two-dimensional gel electrophoresis into acidic (pI 6.0) subfamilies. The acidic keratins have molecular weights (MW) of 56.5, 55, 51, 50, 50 , 48, 46, 45, and 40kDa. Many studies have shown the usefulness of keratins as markers in cancer research and tumor diagnosis. |
