General Description of Recombinant Human Interferon alpha 2b Protein. | |
Interferon-alpha 2b (IFN-?2b) is a type I interferon made by leukocytes during viral infection. The JAK-STAT pathway mediates the antiviral and anti-cell proliferation activities of IFN-?2b. IFN-? proteins are widely used as standard treatments during antiviral and antineoplastic therapies. The IFN-?2b variant differs from IFN-?2a by one amino acid. |
