Application Notes: Isotype control antibodies should be used in most flow cytometry staining. These antibodies are used to control for background signal attributable to non-specific interactions of primary antibodies. Be sure to select an isotype control with the same conjugate and isotype as the primary antibodies you are using to label your samples. The isotype control antibody should be added at the same dilution as the primary antibody

General Information for Isotype Control: The 2A3 antibody is a rat IgG2a antibody that binds trinitrophenol (TNP). TNP is a haptenthat is not expressed on mouse or human cells and the signal resulting from this antibody is very low as a result. It is therefore useful as an isotype-matched control for experiments using rat IgG2a primary antibodies.
