General Description of Recombinant Human S100A7. | |
Human S100A7 produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 121 amino acids (1-121) and having a molecular mass of 13.6 kDa. S100 proteins are primarily located in the cytoplasm and nucleus of a many cells. S100A7 is involved in regulation of a number of cellular processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and motility. It has a known role in metastatic progression of malignancies such as breast, cervical, and esophageal cancer. enQuire Bio’s S100A7 protein is fused to a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus and purified by using an optimized multi-step FPLC method for maximum separation from contaminants. |
