General Description of Recombinant Human Artemin / ARTN Protein .
Artemin is a neurotrophin member of the glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) ligand family. Artemin is highly expressed in the adult pituitary gland, placenta, and trachea, and shows low level expression in the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral tissues. Artemin signals through the RET receptor and GDNF family receptor alpha 3 (GFR?3) co-receptor complex to support neuronal survival.
