Curated Database and Bioinformatic Data
UniProt ID(s) P02893
General Description of P. Falciparum Circumsporozoite Protein.
Plasmodium Falciparum CSP produced in E. coli is a heterodimer of two amino acid sequences that are unique to the Circumsporozoite protein and suitable for developing an assay or eliciting a specific immune response. It has a molecular mass of 5kDa. P. Falciparum CSP is available untagged to eliminate inappropriate specificity to a protein tag in an immune response or assay. The sequence was selected from the full length protein to provide unique epitopes suitable for developing applications requiring specificty to this Circumsporozoite sequence.
