General Description of Recombinant Human sIL 6R.
Human sIL-6R produced in E. Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 338 amino acids (20-357) corresponding to the mature IL-6R protein, having a molecular weight of 42.25 kDa, with an amino terminal hexahistidine tag. The sIL6R is purified by using an optimized multi-step FPLC method for maximum separation from contaminants.
