General Description of Biotinylated Recombinant Mouse EGF Protein (Biotin). | |
Epidermal growth factor (EGF) is a growth factor that stimulates the proliferation, differentiation, and survival of epithelial and epidermal cells. EGF contains three intramolecular disulfide bonds and binds in high affinity to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). The recombinant EGF-Biotin conjugate has an N-terminal leader sequence containing a biotin molecule. There is half of a biotin molecule per EGF protein. The biotin conjugate does not alter the biological activity of the EGF protein. |
